Jana Cartee

Jana began her dance training journey in 2003. As a student, she danced with Atlanta Festival Ballet Company as well as in the Atlanta Ballet’s student division. Through college, she continued to dance and choreograph for Atlanta Festival Ballet as a member of their professional company. It was also during this time that she discovered a passion for social dance, with a particular interest in Lindy Hop, Charleston and Balboa. 

 

In 2015, Jana received her BA in Dance Education from the University of South Carolina. Since then, she has balanced teaching dance in the public schools, helping students to pursue artistic expression and develop their own choreographic voices while still finding time to teach for local swing dance organizations.
